Privacy
Blot doesn't collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We can't see your drawings, and we don't want to.
The short version
- Your drawings are stored on your device.
- If you use iCloud, they sync through your own private iCloud storage, which only you can read.
- Purchases go through Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Nothing is sent to us, because Blot has no server of its own.
Your drawings
Everything you draw, and every setting you choose, is saved on your iPhone or iPad. If iCloud is turned on for Blot, your drawings also sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud, in a private database tied to your Apple Account. We have no way to read it. You can see or remove Blot's iCloud data in the Settings app, under your name, then iCloud.
Deleting a drawing in Blot deletes it from your devices and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes what's stored on that device.
Purchases
Blot Forever is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; Blot only asks the App Store whether you own it. We don't receive your name, email or payment details.
Reminders
The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device. It isn't sent from a server, and turning it off in Settings stops it.
Photos
If you save a picture, Blot asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It can only add pictures, never read your photos.
Sharing
When you share a drawing, it goes wherever you choose in the iOS share sheet. Blot doesn't upload it anywhere.
Children
Blot is made to be safe for all ages. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.
This website
blot.today uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. Like any website, our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for a short time to deliver and protect the site. The home page asks this site for today's blot, and nothing else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
