Questions

When does a new blot arrive?

At midnight, on your own calendar. Blots are numbered from No. 1, which was 1 January 2026, and everyone gets the same one on the same day.

How do I turn or flip the blot?

Tap the round blot button at the bottom left of the drawing screen. From there you can turn it, flip it, change its style and ink, and put it above or below your drawing. You can change these any time, even after you've started drawing, and undo them.

How do I get my drawings on my other iPhone or iPad?

Blot syncs through iCloud. On each device, sign in with the same Apple Account and make sure iCloud is on for Blot (Settings, then your name, then iCloud). New drawings can take a minute or two to appear on the other device.

I bought Blot Forever, but it isn't showing.

Open Blot's Settings and tap Restore purchase. It works on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, and for your family if you use Family Sharing.

My daily reminder doesn't come.
  • Check Daily reminder is on in Blot's Settings.
  • Check notifications are allowed for Blot in the iOS Settings app, under Notifications.
  • Blot skips the reminder on days you've already started drawing.
What's a proof?

A proof is a random blot with no date and its own number, like Proof 4821-9089. They live in your Sketchbook. Pulling new proofs comes with Blot Forever, but anyone can open a proof number a friend shares.

How do I draw the same blot as a friend?

Ask for its number. On the Calendar, tap # at the top right and type the No. or Proof number. Today's blot and shared proofs are free; opening a past No. unlocks with Blot Forever.

I missed a day. Can I still draw it?

Drawings you've started are always yours to reopen and finish, on any day. Starting a drawing on a day you missed unlocks with Blot Forever.

Can I get a deleted drawing back?

Sorry, no. Deleting can't be undone, which is why Blot always asks first.
